Every original hand painted Portrait starts with a clean canvas and I use only the best quality oil paint and materials. All portraits are painted by hand from scratch. I never print on canvas then add elements of paint to give the appearance of an Original Portrait. My portraits are masterfully done to last for generations.
Additionally, sometimes my local clients come and view the progression of the portrait, if you live in a different city I can e-mail j-peg images to you if you would like to see how the portrait is progressing.
My passion is to make life like portraits in oil or pencil. I have a unique way of painting and have spent many years perfecting my techniques that bring my portraits to life. My portraits seem as if they would speak any minute, their eyes are alive.
Once you have made up your mind, I will accommodate your schedule and setup a meeting to discuss the portrait. We can talk about background, clothing an I can also make suggestions for the style of frame.
It is very important for me to observe the personality of the person I am going to be painting, whether through images or a meeting as it helps me to bring the essence of their soul into the portrait, especially the eyes.
I like to have several pictures to bring out a close resemblance. You can also have sittings but they will cost a lot more!
